“We have had a fabulous time here at Caerwenfor, it is a true privilege to be able to stay in such a wonderful location. It may have been said many times before, but the view is exceptional and always a delightful surprise to wake up to. Furthermore, we have been lucky enough to see Dolphins from the house every day of our stay. Our best advice is use binoculars to scan the areas around Ynys Lochtyn particularly when the tidies changing. It requires patience but the results are worth it. It was also a pleasure to show John his first dolphins from Caerwenfor when he called to change some lightbulbs! We have also seen a menagerie of other wildlife including grey seals, choughs, ravens, whitethroats, stonechats, meadow pipits and a range of sea birds. There is even a swallows nest in the car port. We would thoroughly recommend taking the footpath down from the house to the Ceredigion coastal path. The local stretch of coastline is stunning and the walking is fantastic (even if a little bit tiring by the end of the week!). Our favourite was to the village of Llangrannog, which has a fabulous neighbouring sandy cove that is secluded even at low tide. Moreover the ice cream at patio café is the best we have tasted in a long time.
We will surely miss Cardigan Bay and we cannot wait to return
